Unified Prevention & Intervention Services

Prevention and diversion services (PDS) through a case management format with the following goals:
- Divert youth from further involvement with the criminal justice system

Provide a normalizing experience for youth using community-based resources
- Provide services with the expectation of family preservation, family reunification or independence (as appropriate)
- Prevent commitment to Illinois Department of Corrections
- Demonstrate programmatic and economic feasibility of short-term community-based services

Intervention services (IS) through an after-school program format with the following goals:
- Improve academic performance with tutoring and after school activities
- Provide recreational, sports, and cultural activities
- Provide positive adult mentorship
- Offer life skills education
- Encourage parental involvement
